This is a lime-titania type stainless steel welding electrode. The weld metal contains 29% Cr and 9% Ni, with a high ferrite content. It is resistant to cracking, even when joining dissimilar steels, making it ideal for welding difficult-to-weld steels or for use as a buffer layer prior to hardfacing.
Suitable Materials
• Dissimilar Steels: For joining or connecting carbon steel to stainless steel or high-alloy steel.
• Low-carbon steels and low-alloy steels: General structural steels, mild steels.
• Hardenable steels and difficult-to-weld steels: Special steel grades that are highly susceptible to cracking when subjected to the heat of welding.
• Spring steel and tool steel: Used for the repair of molds, machine components, or parts subject to spring-like loading.
